Budapest Hungary Tours - Although many tours can be booked in advance through your travel agent or over the internet, the Tourist Office can offer advice as well as making bookings for you. Many tours leave from major hotels. As well as city tours, it’s possible to take a cruise up and down the Danube, an idea way of seeing old Budapest. Tours depart from pier 7 on the Danube bank near Vigadó tér at a variety of times. City tours will generally take in most of the historic sites and half day or full day tours are available.

Absolute Walking Tours

Tours start at B-3, V. Deák tér (Deak Square) in front of the yellow church. Covers all the major sights from the Heroes' Square, Pest to the Castle District in Buda. They also have more quirky tours such as “Pub Crawls”, “Hammer and Sickle Tours”. Cost of the Absolute Walking Tour covering the main city centre sights is 4000 HU or about €16-€18

Yellow Zebra Bike Tours

Bike rental included, also ponchos in case it rains. Tours cover the main sights but are mainly through parks and light traffic roads. You can get a Helmet for extra cost and the tour leaves every day from the end of March to October at 11 am (and during July and august at 4 pm). You don’t need a reservation, just turn up at Deak Square in front of the Church steps. The cost is 5500 to 6000 HUF - Hungarian Forint and the exchange rate is in the region of 250 forint to the euro.
